OFF-SITE NEWS: Eddie Halliwell presents 'Fire It Up'

Eddie Halliwell is the closest version to a new ‘superstar’ DJ we have in the UK since the halcyon days of Oakey laying down the law on the terrace of Cream or since Sasha was hailed Son Of God by a leading dance music publication. Whether it’s presenting his hugely successful show on Radio 1, running the unfeasibly popular Fire it Up events, representing (and then capturing) the essence of the White Isle for his Cream Ibiza residency and compilation series or simply traversing the globe playing at some of the biggest parties on the planet, one things for sure there’s no stopping this lad from Wigan.

Eddie started DJing at the age of 15 and after a few years honing his ability landed residencies at two of the biggest club nights in the UK; Goodgreef and Gatecrasher. Touring extensively around the world, Halliwell became famed for his sets at the legendary Cream Amnesia and Judgement Sundays in Ibiza. Now also running his own exciting and forward thinking events under the Fire It Up banner which has now become a successful clubbing brand in its own right.

This is the long awaited debut compilation from Eddie under his own Fire It Up banner. What can we expect? Well this CD is a twenty-one track excursion featuring all of the latest upfront and banging electronic tunes that have been ‘firing’ Eddie’s DJ sets, put together in a way that will undoubtedly catapult you into that summer party mood. Spanning house to techno before building into a driving trance crescendo this will be a compilation for[..]

After the welcome return with new single Kick Out The Jams on iO Music, Andre Tegeler AKA Moguai delivers the perfect summer compilation I Am X from his own Punx imprint.

Inspired by the support and feedback received from his DJing, massive German radio shows on 1LIVE and MDR Sputnik, plus his huge party collaborations in the form of his ‘Moguai and Friends’ events, Moguai felt the demand for his sound to be encapsulated. This artist-based compilation stems from the day when club kids could take home a mix at the end of a night out and provides the punter with what Moguai’s sound is really about.

I Am X is a double disc compilation that mirrors Moguai’s passion for the electronic sound without the need to stick to a particular genre. Actually he never really went away… Famed for the huge U Know Y (which was later used for The Sugababes In the Middle) and the massive follow up Get On (the main riff of which featured on Girls Aloud hit Something Kinda Ooh) Moguai has remixed some of dance music’s finest records, including re-rubs of Roman Flugel’s wonky Gehts Noch, X-Press2’s huge summer anthem, Lazy and many more.

Known to his nearest and dearest as Andre Tegeler, he has been anything but lazy in the years since their release. From working with pop megastars to remixing uber cool dance acts like 2Raumwohnung, Fischerspooner and Meat Katie to becoming one of Germany’s largest radio presenters with shows on two of the countries biggest stations; 1LIVE and MDR Sputnik.
OFF-SITE NEWS: Richard Dinsdale - 'Blitzkrieg'

Richard Dinsdale has been a very busy man since his explosion onto the scene a few years back. Having his tracks and remixes on labels such as Toolroom, GU Music and Renaissance it’s no wonder this guy is a Ministry of Sound DJ resident. He is well known for spending hours of his time perfecting his tracks to get the desired dancefloor reaction, some would call him a perfectionist but we just call him brilliant and we’re proud to have him working with us again.

‘Blitzkrieg’ is typically Dinsdale, with his formidable crunching percussion and throbbing basslines. This track quickly gets into gear and within seconds the swinging beat gets that body moving before falling into the main rhythm, a twisted glitch melody. All the elements combine to great effect providing us with a bass heavy goover of a tune but before you know it the knobs are tweeked and the track turns nasty. Dirty and driving along at 100mph you’d better keep your heads down and hold onto your hats as this track is relentless.

Trevor Loveys who is best known for his fidget house productions and gives us our first remix on this package. Sticking with his famous style this track starts off in an electro style which is quite reserved by his standards…but it draws you into a false sense of security before turning into a pit bull terrier and tearing your ass off.
OFF-SITE NEWS: Lützenkirchen UK ‘The Timewarp EP Part 2’

Here’s the second part of the two part EP from German sound engineer/producer Tobias Lützenkirchen. Part one saw the release of Weasel Groove featuring remix and here we see a different side to what Lützenkirchen can do...

RELEASE DATE: 24 March 2008
DISTRIBUTED BY: SRD

‘Back In Time’ is a track that does exactly what it says on the tin. Combining elements of trance from the 99/2000 era but bringing them bang up to date with some really solid beats and use of synths. The percussion builds up until the techno-esque bassline comes in and drives the track until the next break. At which point the melody comes crashing in and builds up in true trance style adding extra synths for mega-effect, melodies are flying around and finally it drops. The second build is even bigger and when the track kicks back the dancefloor will be in euphoric mania! This one will definitely take you ‘Back In Time’ to the good ‘ole hands in the air, hug your neighbour and French-kiss a stranger kind of way.

First on remix duties we have Spin Out resident DJ’s and hosts of our SpinOut Sessions, the infamous Caninesounds....Sam Caterer and Andy Isbister deliver their first release for Spin Out and have gi[..]
